Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Everett's Coastal Detailing ("Everett's Coastal Detailing", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit our website or request a quote. We keep this simple: we collect only what we need to give you a quote and provide our detailing services.
1. Who we are
Everett's Coastal Detailing provides mobile auto-detailing services in Wilmington & the Cape Fear coast. We are the controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions, contact us using the details in the “Contact us” section below.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the quote form, we collect the details you choose to provide:
- Your first and last name;
- Your contact details — phone number and/or email address;
- Vehicle information — make, model, year, and vehicle size/type;
- Service details — the package and any add-ons you're interested in, your preferred date, the service location/address where you'd like us to come, and anything you write in the “details” box;
- Whether you agreed to be contacted about your quote.
Please don't include sensitive personal information (such as financial account numbers, health, or government ID numbers) in the free-text fields — we don't need it to quote your detail.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting and security providers process limited technical data needed to deliver and protect the site — for example your IP address, browser type, and timestamps in transient server logs. We use your IP address only to rate-limit the form and to verify the anti-spam check; we do not store your raw IP address in our customer database.
3. How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Prepare and send you a quote, and respond to your request;
- Contact you about scheduling and performing the detailing service;
- Keep records of quotes and appointments and provide customer service;
- Protect the site against spam, fraud, and abuse, and keep it secure;
- Comply with our legal obligations.
For visitors in the EU/UK, our legal bases are: taking steps at your request before entering a contract (handling your quote and service); our legitimate interests (running the business, responding to enquiries, and securing the site); your consent where you provide it; and compliance with legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time — see your rights below.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send marketing emails or texts unrelated to your request.
4. Cookies & tracking
We aim to keep the site cookie-light. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics that track you across other websites. Specifically:
- Our anti-spam tool (Cloudflare Turnstile) is privacy-preserving and is designed not to track you across sites for advertising;
- A single, strictly-necessary session cookie is set only if the business owner signs in to the private admin area — it is never set for ordinary visitors.
If we add analytics in the future, we'll choose a privacy-friendly option and update this policy first.
5. How we share your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the website and the quote process, and only as needed to perform those services on our behalf:
- Website hosting (e.g. Vercel) — serves the site and processes requests;
- Database hosting (e.g. Neon) — securely stores your quote request;
- Email delivery (e.g. Resend) — sends your quote details to our inbox;
- Bot/spam protection (e.g. Cloudflare Turnstile) — verifies form submissions;
- Rate limiting (e.g. Upstash) — briefly counts requests to prevent abuse.
These providers act as our processors under contract and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer.
6. How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and appointment records only as long as necessary for the purposes above — typically while we're in contact about your vehicle and for a reasonable period afterward for our records (generally up to 24 months of inactivity), after which we delete or anonymize them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see your rights below).
7. How we protect your information
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/HSTS), a strict Content-Security-Policy, server-side validation, rate limiting, and access controls on stored data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and limit what we collect.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access / know — request a copy of the information we hold about you;
- Correct — ask us to fix inaccurate information;
- Delete — ask us to erase your information;
- Portability — receive your information in a portable format;
- Object / restrict — object to or restrict certain processing;
- Withdraw consent — where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time;
- Opt out of “sale”/“sharing” — we do not sell or share your information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you have the right to confirm this;
- Non-discrimination — we won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.
To exercise any right, contact us using the details below. We'll verify your request (to protect your information) and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. EU/UK residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
9. Children's privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Where your information is processed
We operate in the United States, and our service providers may process and store information there. If you contact us from outside the United States, you understand your information may be processed in the United States.
11. Third-party links
Our site may link to third-party sites (for example our social media or Google reviews). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be made clear on this page.
